Fronalp Adventure Farm

The farm was opened on June 21, 2014 and has since been operated by Swiss Holiday Park as Erlebnishof Fronalp. The small farm, which is located on our premises, is home to many native animals, some of which are ProSpecieRara breeds. The riding activities are a highlight. There are exciting and unforgettable horse-related experiences for day and overnight guests.

Philosophy - species-appropriate and yet full of exciting experiences
At Erlebnishof Fronalp, the animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner so that they remain healthy and also have their rest periods. Nevertheless, visitors can experience exciting things here.

Feeding the animals
The animals are fed by the farmer. We invite you to watch the animals being fed.

Farm information trail
There are more than 12 large boards with interesting information about the farm and its animals all over the Erlebnishof Fronalp site. Did you know, for example, that a cow drinks up to 100 liters of water a day or that a Swiss person drinks an average of 380 liters of milk a year? Experience this exciting tour and learn more about farming.

Milking
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to watch milking. We ask for your understanding and thank you for your cooperation.

Calves
In addition to the horses and cows, there are also our calves in the calving pen. The young cows are a magnet for the youngest guests and are out on the calving pasture when the weather is fine.

Inclusion in the weekly program
Various activities for families and children around the Erlebnishof Fronalp are included in the weekly program.

Experience an exciting and diverse hour at our farm tour. There you have the opportunity to get information, ask questions and get to know our animals better.

You can find more information in our weekly program.

No farm without cows
At Erlebnishof Fronalp, cows of the Original Braunvieh and Brown Swiss breeds graze on the pastures and provide the milk that is processed into various products on the farm. Calves are also reared. Not only the children will enjoy the young animals.

Climbing artist
Opposite the large stable, where the horses and cows are housed, is the new goat stable. There at home are goats of the breed: Capra Grigia.

The goats are bred so that the guests can always enjoy young "little goats".

Chickens - the valuable farm animals
Chickens from ProSpecieRara have also found a new home with us:

  • Swiss chicken
  • Appenzeller Spitzhauben chicken

The eggs fresh from the farm will enrich the breakfast buffet at the Swiss Holiday Park.

On a farm, which is visited by many children, rabbits can not be missing. The cute long ears make children's eyes shine.
