An animal experience for all children
Riding not only inspires children, it also strengthens their body, mind and social skills. Our pony rides teaches the handling of ponies in a playful way - in a child-friendly way and with lots of patience. Children as young as two can gain their first experience in the saddle and experience unforgettable moments.

Arguments in favour of riding
Riding is not just a trend. Riding teaches children important life skills. Riding promotes empathy, intuition, fairness and a sense of responsibility. These are important values in everyone's life. These values are practised in passing and through self-motivation. In addition, children are active while riding and get outside in the fresh air.
Sitting on a horse trains the muscles that are relevant for posture. This can prevent postural problems.

Farm fun
Experience first encounters with the pony: grooming, stroking and building trust. Afterwards we will go for a guided walk with the pony. In addition to the ponies, we will also visit the rabbits and our chickens.

The safety of the riding students and the welfare of the animals is very important to us, for this reason the horses or ponies cannot be selected.
We meet in front of our Erlebnishof Fronalp.
We only accept cash payments in Swiss francs (CHF). Our overnight guests also have the option of having the costs conveniently charged to their room. Unfortunately, we cannot accept other means of payment (e.g. cards or foreign currencies) at the Erlebnishof.
Yes, pony riding takes place in all weathers - with the exception of hail. In this case, riding must be cancelled for safety reasons.
Yes, an adult must always be present to lead the pony.
If possible, you should bring a bicycle helmet and wear good shoes (no flip-flops or high heels).
Yes, due to the limited number of horses and ponies, a reservation is required.
The riding time is about 20 minutes.
No, we only offer pony rides.
Riding is possible from the age of 2.
No, the pony rides are only for children.
As our riding school also works with mini-shetties, the weight of the children is crucial for the health and well-being of the animals. To ensure that the ponies are not overloaded and remain healthy in the long term, we weigh the children before they start riding. This enables us to select the right pony for each child and guarantee that both child and pony will enjoy the lessons.
Out of consideration for the well-being of our ponies, riding is limited to 30kg. Children who are heavier may lead the pony and thus also enjoy a wonderful pony experience. The costs are the same as for pony riding. Please contact us in advance by telephone.
