Swimming course for children - crab badge

This swimming course is designed for children aged 3 and over who have little experience with water. The courses are organised for groups of 3 or more and offer a playful introduction to the basics of swimming. The swimming course is organised by our partner TABA Swim.

Accompaniment
  • 3 to 5-year-olds must be accompanied by their parents.
  • 5 to 7-year-olds can also take part unaccompanied.
  • Accompanying adults and children who wish to use the adventure pool after the course, 
    pay the normal admission price.

Course content

  • Standing, submerge for at least 3 seconds and hold your breath. Breathe out again above water.
  • Standing, submerge for at least 3 seconds and exhale visibly through your mouth or nose under water.
  • Float in a prone position for at least 3 seconds with your head in the correct position, keeping your arms at your sides.
  • Push off from the edge of the pool or the stairs and glide independently in a prone position for at least 3 seconds (without kicking your legs). Your face should be in the water and your arms held high.
  • Jump from the edge of the pool onto your feet and immediately and completely submerge.

Insurance
The Swiss Holiday Park and the TABA Swim swimming school decline all liability for accidents before, during and after the lessons. Participants are not covered by the organiser's liability insurance. We recommend that you take out private liability insurance.

Everything about the swimming course

  • Children can take part in swimming lessons from the age of 3.

  • Please bring your child's swimwear, a towel and possibly swimming goggles.

  • Each lesson lasts 30 minutes. The course comprises a total of 5 lessons, which take place from Monday to Friday.

  • As each lesson only lasts 30 minutes, there are no additional breaks.

  • No, parents do not have to be present. However, you are welcome to watch if you wish.

  • Yes, all children receive a swimming certificate upon successful completion.

  • Yes, we recommend early registration as places are limited. Registration must be completed by 12:00 on the Sunday before the course starts at the latest.

  • Please contact Taba-Swim directly for information on possible discounts.

  • If lessons are missed, we will try to find a suitable solution. Please inform us in advance if your child is unable to attend.

  • Our courses are run by qualified swimming instructors from Taba-Swim.

  • The safety of the children is our top priority. Our swimming instructors always make sure that the children are safe in the water.

  • You can register your child directly via the Taba-Swim website.

  • We recommend personal liability insurance, as Swiss Holiday Park and the swimming school are not liable for accidents.
