Sustainability is important to us

At Swiss Holiday Park, we see sustainability as an integral part of our actions - in ecological, economic and social terms. We focus on the responsible use of resources, promote fair working conditions and continuously develop our offers. In doing so, we are guided by clear principles and regularly review our processes. Our aim is to offer our guests a harmonious experience - in harmony with people and the environment. We are actively committed to sustainability.

Our environmental policy

We understand quality to mean...

  • that we are committed to the careful use of limited resources
  • that we recognise our responsibility as a social employer
  • that we act humanely and professionally competent at all times
  • that we are open to innovation
  • that we take criticism and suggestions seriously and can use them as an opportunity
  • that we continuously review our various offers
  • that we can offer our guests good value for money
  • that our guests feel comfortable with us

Our environmental policy

  • We actively address environmental issues in our business activities. We create the conditions to fulfil the law. The management and all executives act as role models and exemplify our environmental policy.

  • We motivate our employees to behave responsibly towards the environment.

We expect our employees to play an active role in improving our company's environmental performance.

We have an internal Green Team that works on environmental projects and thus continuously improves the company's environmental performance

  • We inform our guests at various locations in the Swiss Holiday Park about our contribution to improving our ecological footprint.
We actively involve our guests in the topic of ecology and take various measures to show them how they can use resources sparingly during their stay.

  • We communicate our environmental policy and our contribution to improving our ecological footprint to the public.

  • We periodically review our products, processes and services with regard to their environmental relevance and improve ourselves in terms of resource consumption (input), emissions to the environment (output) and waste (output).

We are constantly improving our product, process and service quality in terms of ecology.

Did you know...

...that cooking oil and food waste are collected at the Swiss Holiday Park and delivered to Agro-Energie Schwyz - where they are used to produce CO₂-neutral thermal energy (biogas)?

  • District heating

By using district heating, around 650,000 litres of heating oil and therefore many tonnes of CO2 can be saved each year. The leisure park was connected to Agro-Energie Schwyz in August 2015 and the hotel in 2016.

  • Electricity

Our electricity is generated from 100% hydropower and the corresponding hydropower plants have been awarded the naturemadebasic eco-electricity certification. Since 2007, the existing light fittings have been replaced with energy-efficient LED lighting in all refurbishments. In many areas of the facility, the lighting times are massively reduced by means of motion detectors.

We were able to realise the following ecological projects:

Bottling plantSeveral bottling plants for our Fronalp spring water for guests and employees.
Discharged waterDischarge of treated water into receiving waters instead of the sewage system.
LED lightingFurther conversion to LED lighting and motion detectors.
Heating controlHeating control in the hotel so that the temperature can be better regulated.

Further ecological projects are planned.

The Swiss Holiday Park has been CO₂-neutral since 2017.

Using energy consciously - for today and tomorrow

Sustainability starts small and works on a large scale. At Swiss Holiday Park, we focus on solutions that protect our environment and use resources efficiently. Whether CO₂-neutral heat generation, sophisticated water treatment or electricity from 100% hydropower - our facilities are designed to combine the comfort of our guests with ecological responsibility.

In this way, we make a daily contribution to a more sustainable future - in a concrete, comprehensible and measurable way.
